Right?? I think I'm obsessed with anything green in inverts, I swear. The same YouTuber has a video on animals with gold coloration, and there is a gold beetle I am obsessed over! I need to watch again, I don't remember the name of it.

*melts over the tarantula toe beans* I'm having a bit of a senior moment - is that a C. versicolor on the bottom pics? I had wondered about the nymphs of these particular roaches for feeder potential. I hate to say it, but it does cross my mind for any potential roach I get. >.< Good to see...

Please do post any results you've had! Also, I do research anything prior to feeding but if you know of specifics that are toxic to them go ahead and post that too! I know not to feed things like onions and garlic and I avoid processed foods and anything salty.

I keep a staple of organic carrot in their enclosure at all times for a nutritious food plus water source. I do try to buy organic as much as possible on all foods, in an abundance of caution to reduce risk of chemical fertilizer or pest control sprays. Veggies first! Great reactions...

Just thought I'd record how my roaches react to various foods .. I'm completely new to really focusing on keeping them for anything more than feeders 6 months experience with that has led me to appreciate how amazing these little guys and gals really are! Their main diet, which I always have...

Thanks! :D I was really happy when I received them - out of the 30, probably 12 were that size and then a mix of smaller nymphs. I couldn't believe so many were out on the bark. It has a lot of lichen, so maybe they were enjoying that? Not sure, but I *had* to get the pic .. it was just too...

Yes, I actually stalk it for any updates lol! I enjoy your style of writing on the blog, so I tend to check every couple of days. It's also where I saw about the Amber dubia, I had no idea there were color morphs for them and now that I have the Shadows the Ambers are next on my must have...

That's actually a good idea - I'm in one of the tarantula rehoming groups, I don't know why I never thought about one for either inverts in general or possibly even a roach one would be out there.
