I'm trying this contraption out, with burlap fit to it using zip ties. I could just buy cork or something but oh well.

I was wondering if there would be a benefit to adding leaves when making flake soil.  Has anyone done that? Maybe crumple up the leaves or even put them through the wife's food processor haha then in to the next batch of flake soil.
