    Is Burlap Dangerous?

Found these $5 Walmart fans thinking that they'd up ventilation but they turned out to be pretty loud. They move enough air for me at least.

    Is Burlap Dangerous?

Got around to starting the vertical gravity assisted wing dropper for my Blaberus sp. Honduras. Still need to make it so it'll stand up though.

    Is Burlap Dangerous?

I read that burlap is made of jute plants. Anyway, I was considering using it to make something for my Blaberus sp. Honduras to climb on so they can molt better and possibly get moisture from when I spray. Also I want to get some bark roaches this year and thought it might work for them as well...

    Giving birth upon losing head

Tonight I fed my scorpions. What I do is cut off the heads of the roach and put it in with the scorpions.  A couple minutes after losing its head one of the roaches gave birth.  I wonder if it was stress induced? It wasn't being eaten yet. The roach in question was a Rhyparobia cf. capelloi...

    Van Life

I'm asking for any and all ideas on how to keep a couple colonies if, say, one chose to live full time in a van. Specifically how to keep correct temps with good ventilation:) I often day dream of leaving behind conventional housing. Thoughts?

    (Dream) Green Rhino Roach

Last night I had a dream that I was holding a roach with the size of the rhino but colored like the metallic green magnifica.  I just remember smiling in the dream. Anybody else had roach dreams?

Rhino roach was on its back

I caught it yesterday trying to flip back over and helped it out. Scary! I'm thankful (Happy Thanksgiving!) it is still running around today. The substrate is only a cm or two deep. I see them getting in top of each other at times. I'm considering separating them. Thoughts?

    Agar agar

Does anybody currently use agar? Last posts I see about it on the forum was from 2016/17.  My new job takes me away from home during the week and I'm looking for a little something extra for the colonies. Any thoughts about agar vs beef gelatin. The beef is cheaper :)

    Roach hotel v1

Just having fun. I'm planning on buying some sheet moss or something similar to melt into the plastic. I tried forest moss but the pieces are so small.

    Dragon fruit

Anybody here grow dragon fruit? Mine finally flowered last year but didn't set. I'm wondering if I should give hand pollination a try this year. There are three flowers forming already. And how about getting raspberries to produce? The bush grows well with lots of flowers but they've all...

    Big Apple Herp

Unfortunately no communication from them after 3 days to resolve having sent me the wrong scorpion. I purchased 3 "emperor scorpions" and received 3 Asian forest scorpions. For what it's worth, I've since read that this happens frequently due to both scorpions being black and similar looking...

    Mislabeled Emperor Scorpions

Well I ordered three emperor scorpions online for $59 a piece. I took a chance and got screwed. They sent me Asian forest scorpions. I knew this could happen, being that last time I checked emps were going for $120.  I have two female emps and was hoping to get a male. I guess I'll start...

    Enclosure v. 2

I've had to start over because the hot glue I used to secure the stainless steel mesh is starting to peel from tub walls. I read how people had wrote that hot glue wasn't working for them, but I didn't know what they meant until now. I purchased a plastic welder with a small triangle shaped...
