    Local NJ Inverts

Hey guys. I was wondering what interesting inverts are found in NJ. I was hoping to catch and breed some local inverts this spring and summer, and your input would be really helpful. The species don't have to already be established in the hobby. I could bring something new to the community. Thanks!

    Orthopteran Suppliers in the US

Hey guys. I was wondering what are some good sites/sellers to get orthopterans from in the us. Aside from feeders, I've only seen them occasionally at expos, from norcalgrasshoppers, roach crossing, bic, or from importers. I'm considering getting some in the future. Thanks everyone!

I have 6 Armadillidium klugii. They are in a small container with moss, egg shell hides, and a high quality substrate (as well as food, obviously). But they haven't produced for me yet, so I was wondering what your guys tips and tricks are. I'm planning on decreasing the humidity thanks to Orins...

    Mold in Dubia Enclosure

Hello everyone I have been fighting an ongoing battle with mold in my dubia roach enclosure. The substrate they are on is a type of millipede substrate, which has some wood chunks in it but is mostly loose. The other day I did a deep clean of the enclosure and removed and replace a large amount...

    Cape Cod Roaches Feedback

I know there already is a CCR post here, but it wasn't a normal review. I received my order under a week, well packed and well marked. All roaches arrived happy and healthy. I also received bonus roach chow and jelly. I'm very pleased with my order.

    Favorite "Beginner" Isopods?

What are your favorite beginner isopods? I'm looking for a species after my a. nasatum colony died off. Ideally the species would be hardy, medium or fast breeding, not tiny, be relatively easily found, and tolerant of a wide range of temperatures and humidity ranges. For the humidity, needing a...

    Armadillidium Nasatum Blues

I have been keeping armadillidium nasatum on and off for about 3 years now, with varying levels of success. These isopods are very common in my backyard, and they can be easily sourced during most of the spring and summer, sometimes even into the fall. My first and second cultures produced...

Hi, I remember a species of Blaberus being available on roachcrossing.com that is no longer listed on the site. I don't known if Kyle himself is on the forum, but perhaps even someone with a good memory (or advanced species knowledge) can determine what it was. The species in question was a...

    Dubia Nymph Growth

I received 24 Blaptica dubia nymphs during the November of 2020. I heard that it may take 5-8 months for them to mature, but they are still around 1/2 inch. They are kept a bit colder than recommended because the heat mat will only fit on their final, larger tank. I feed them an assortment of...
