Best all-rounder substrate?

For roaches? Coco fiber. 😂 With the exception of Panesthiinae, none of the hobby species need an edible substrate, and I use coconut fiber for all of them.

Hisserdude,

What about the

Lucihormetica verrucosa

Roach? I was told they do best in flake soil, and cocoa fiber wasn't any good for t his species from the breeder.

Thank you for any input!

Some people have bred them on coco fiber no problem, others prefer a more organic substrate mix for them. L.verrucosa in general seem to be the least picky Lucihormetica species, so you could probably get away with using whatever.
