Hello!

Have anyone seen the movie bug?

The nutty professor is crossbreeding species X with species Periplaneta americana

The result is Parmitera hephaestus = Gromphadorhina portentosa

My question is: What is species X? Some big nymph of some kind?

Hope anyone can help me!

I haven't seen that movie. I'll have to check it out.

I love how in movies and TV shows all the roaches are hissers. I guess they can't have german roaches running around on the set but they aren't fooling us bug people. lol.

Kind of like how the only scorpions they show are P. imperator.

But this one was different. A big nymph. Blaberus giganteus looking, but I'm not sure. Can't find any info about this on the net, exept that the William Castle called the roach hercules and insured for one hundred thousand!
