Cleaning Question

When you guys are cleaning your larger dubia bins how do you prevent a significant loss of nymphs? It's impossible for me to dig through the old molts and frass to find them all, is there any easy way to separate them? Or is losing some just part of cleaning the bins? (I'd like to think not)

Do not give water to cockroaches (and canned food) for a week or more.

then put 2-3 pieces of orange or apple ...

you wait half an hour ... and when all the cockroaches will be the fruit ... you move them.

I need to try that too, I move what I can and then take forever picing out babies, also sometimes I put egg flat back in and leave them for awhile, they hid in it and I then move them too.

Thanks, those are both good suggestions, I've done the eggcrate one but now I'll do the fruit one, it sounds way more effective.
