Egg shells?

Can you feed roaches egg shells? Have you feed roaches egg shells, and was it good,bad or indifferent? I've fed my dubias all kinds of veggies, fruits, roach chows. I'm just curious, i read that article on roachcrossing saying they are trying them as compost makers, so how about egg shells?

the calcium from the egg shells would be good for the roaches.

I heard nitrogen is important that is found in fresh spinach leaves and rose leaves. Also in bird droppings and bat hence why many roaches are in sewers and caves.

I feed crushed egg shells and coffee grinds to my European nightcrawlers every couple of weeks ...... so are eggshells and coffee grinds safe for roaches ?
