Could you create a punnett square for the yellow morph of Gyna lurida? I spent like 2 hours last night trying to figure it out. The ratio is like 1 in 50 is yellow.

The yellow appears to be a simple recessive. Once the brown specimens have been eliminated from a culture they do not reappear.

How would you get the ratio of 1:50 (chance of yellow) by doing a punnett square?
By adjusting the number of adults that do not carry the gene. Of course you'll have to have two het for expression.

Just curious about the feature on the Roach Crossing site, which states that the yellow morph is "not 100% proven, so cultures will need culling to ensure that the yellow stays predominant."
