Horse feed?

Hey everyone! I’m looking to start a dubia colony for feeding my pets and I saw that laying down a bed of wheat bran works well if you also supplement their diet with other veggies and fruit. My question is: will this be okay to give them?

I looked at the ingredients list and personally I wouldn't.  From what I found doing research too much calcium is a death sentence.  Feeding organic veggies, fruit, and granes are as far as I know a better choice, but I have fed regular fruit, veggies, and granes.

I feed a similar feed for over a year with no issues, the only problem is some species are obsessed while others won't touch it.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm on my way out to the country store to get this feed  which I'm going to fortify with brewers (low protein) oat flakes and rice flakes and feed ground, together with fruit and veggies. It's a 4.5% protein linseed oil fortified blend of grasses and oat chaff. I have a colony of dubias and some orangehead nymphs which I hope will someday be a colony. The orangheads will be getting some ground gammarus as well as the horse fibre/ cereal mix and I'll be watching them like a hawk for signs of cannabalism.
