intermediate difficulty ?

I'd say its how forgiving it is about its environment. some roaches will take a big range in temperature, humidity and diet, others need very specific ranges.

thanks, would it be a safe assumption that a species deemed intermediate just needs a consistent temp. (within proprer range) and a substrate with a certain level of moisture?

Sounds about right. It might have a quirk like being difficult to feed or being sensitive to something easy species aren't.

Then again, some of us (*cough*) struggle with hissers, and they're meant to be foolproof :P

thanks again, im tossing around the idea of getting Gyna centurio but at around $10 each i dont want to get into more than i can handle.

A species gets to be intermediate once they need specific food, humidity, temps ect ect. What is your hardest species you own right now?

I would definitely wait on Gyna centurio with that skill level. If you want to get into the Gyna species, I would start with either Gyna lurida or Gyna caffrorum.

Not sure as I haven't kept them yet. If you want good care opinions talk to cariblatta or Kyle kandillian about it :)
