Hello all. I am currently on the hunt for Blaberus colosseus "Peru" to start a small colony as pets. I have been striking out everywhere I search it seems.

If you dont have these and have something similar with easier care requirements than B. giganteus please let me know. I am looking for large Blaberus roaches in particular as they just look fantastic in my opinion.

I no longer have B. colosseus "peru",but I obtained B. colosseus "Ecuador" last fall. Not sure the difference between the two, but unfortunately have only larger nymphs I'm hoping I can get to mature and reproduce. None available at the moment, but I have other Blaberus sp. As well as some other larger roach species.

I have a group of smaller Blaberus colosseus "Peru" nymphs that I'm growing up to breed,  so I should have some available hopefully in the next 8 months maybe. I got mine from Kyle Kandilian of Roach Crossing just so you know in case he comes back to the internet again before mine breed for me.

I currently have Blaberus craniifer "Orin McMonigle" as well as Archimandrita tesselata available as far as similar roaches go.

I sent Kyle an email weeks ago and still have no response. Everyone else is out or just has nymphs for their own projects. I have been considering Archimandrita tesselata but am unsure how similar their care is compared to dubia for instance. I don't want to take on far too much more work than I currently have with two Pyxie frogs, a Pacman, a rattlesnake, cat, dog and around 100 different species of ant starter colonies lol.

Yeah, unfortunately you never know when he'll start responding again.

Archimandrita are pretty easy, they mostly just require more space than the average roach for both a deep substrate and some vertically-oriented bark for the sub-adults to molt to adulthood on and for the adults to perch on. They're really not much more work than any other roach once set up.

Dang, that's a lot of ants! :o
