Has anyone ever used Java Moss for substrate/food?

I pulled a bunch out of my fish tank, and rather than throw it away I decided to try it in my main hisser enclosure. It's been in the tank with them for a week, and they don't seem to like or dislike it. Sometimes I see them on it, and there are a few under it when I pick it up and look, but they generally seem ambivalent about it.

If you need to get rid of more, ill take it off of your hands dont have fish but have been looking for some

Only crayfish and isopods eat that stuff and it may have no real food value even for them.

Moderator (Orin?) - I knew that crayfish would eat it, and that it is virtually indestructible. I'm assuming it's safe for roach substrate/decoration. I was wondering if anyone else had ever tried it for this.
