Okay, just give it to me straight... Am I facilitating a plague - of biblical proportions - by breeding N. Cinerea? These things appear to be reproducing at an absolutely scary rate. I'm starting to worry about them eventually overflowing the 18 gallon bin they're in!
Well they will probably fill that tub, I'll tell you that much. They shouldn't outgrow the tub though, and if you are concerned you could always remove the heating elements to slow down the breeding.
They'll breed to a capacity and then likely have a large die off if crowding becomes a big issue. If nothing else and you want to slow them down you can also sell them. Lobsters are always in demand because they make such a great feeder.
