looking for cave-dwelling roaches - Blaberus craniifer, anyone? B. fusca?

Hi, all,

I am looking for roaches for an animal behavior class that I teach. I want to compare the escape behaviors of open vs. cave-dwelling adult roaches. In the past, I have used Periplaneta (duh), B. discoidalis (open habitat) and B. craniifer (cave). It worked really well. Does anyone have any Blaberus for sale? Is there a species out there that is a cave-dweller (hopefully with a none cave dweller in the same genus) that is easier to find?

Hoping for any help/advice anyone can give me!

Craniifer arent cave dwellers usually... Blaberus giganteus, fusca, peruvianus, colosseus "Peru", and Simandoa conserfariam are cave dwellers. roachcrossing.com/ has all of those species.

How bout trying out Eublaberus? They are cave dwellers too so they might work out well :)

Also, what do you do with the roaches after you've used them in the experiment? Do you keep them as a class pet?
