Magnolia Leaves

From what I can gather from a few gardening sites, Magnolia grandiflora is attacked by slugs, japanese beetles, and scales and is nontoxic to humans. This information makes me think that no, they wouldn't be dangerous to roaches. In any event, dead leaves are both more nutritious and more readily eaten than live ones; if you're going to feed them leaves the decaying stuff is better.
