Since I Very new to insect ownership ( all my years have been with mammals or reptiles) I will enviably have some silly questions ( sorry in advance for that) . Is it at all possible to tell from a pic of my female is preggers, she is around 2, 3/4 inches long. Gromphadorhina portentosa

If she is its early on, impossible to tell by looking unless she's getting fatter and fatter. Also if males refuse to court her might be an indication, but again not a sure way.

Only real way to tell and its not incredibly reliable, is if she looks longer than normal. Most of the time it means either she ate a lot or she is preggers
