This is a bit different, in the ongoing experiment to provide the critters with an interesting and stimulating environment.

The plastic is still a little bit slippery for good traction and needs to be roughened up a bit.

There's only one more style I want to try, a continuous spiral with no hidey-holes.

It takes a little while for them to adjust to a new "hotel" but they don't seem to mind the different types of habitats.

Using time lapse videos to study their movement it seems that, despite having food and water readily available, they like to wander about and explore.

I love these useing a lil wood working file seems like the only way to rough up these intricate structures.
