Seventh Instar
Okay, Ladies and Gentlemen, fire away. Let me know what, if anything, is wrong with it or could be improved. The logs are oak and two aspen mounted to an 8"x12" piece of old plywood. The substrate is plain soil and two grades of coco fiber. There are about two dozen adults and fifteen babies. Its an 18 gallon tub with two 3"x6" vent holes covered by aluminum window screen. I'll probably forego the water crystals in time, but since they were used to them, I thought I'd leave them in for a while. To try to kill off any hitchhikers, I soaked the logs in a cooler with scalding hot water overnight and then let them dry out in the sun for a few days. The water was still warm after 24 hours.
