This has been known for maybe 2 years. It is rare and so far not able to be acquired for study or for the hobby. One could say for the time being it is out of reach.
My new roach favorite !! Unfortunately, the species is probably under total protection to make sure the wild population is stable. It'll get to the hobby someday (I hope). The last thing we need is a bunch of people digging up that cave.
That's an old story but more importantly that species is rumored to be 4" which would only tie it with the largest documented species. Also, there's no physical evidence it really isn't two or three inches, just a claim it reaches four.
I know the story has been around...I was just surprised nobody had brought it up here on the forum. Or maybe they had and I just missed it. An interesting story nonetheless.
