Ootheca
I am very fond of the Nocticola vagus (is this the correct name?) I enjoy how they have seemingly spread themselves to almost all of my terrariums and invertebrate enclosures. I initially got my culture from Kyle because I thought they were so neat. They were my 3rd species of cockroach and 5th species of invertebrate I kept as a hobbyist. After I got more into the hobby and began to read much more of the literature pertaining to keeping invertebrates I realised they could be a great alternative cleanup crew to isopods and havent looked back. I usually seed all of my fresh terreriums with them as well as new enclosures but if I dont they usually find their way in regardless. I am unsure if they are super effective cleaners but love to see them scaper around when I open or approach an enclosure. They also work great with harvestmen as they will snack on the small nymphs.
