organic or nonorganic?

Bug boy

First Instar
I've been feeding organic lettuce and carrots, and other veggies for a while and it's starting to cost a lot. is it ok to start feeding nonorganic if i wash thoroughly?

I have not noticed a difference but when I get a new species in small numbers that I am trying to get in culture, I am much more picky about their food. In these situations, I tend to focus on more organic based on this ( http://www.organic.o...cle/article-214). I have no evidence that non-organic kills my roaches. I would assume the probability of death rises as the smaller roaches eat larger amounts of the "dirty dozen". I am just doing everything I can to get a good size colony going.

things that you peel are good. most if not all chemicals come off with the peel, like bananas and oranges. so don't waste money on organic bananas for your roaches or u.
