roaches food and color

I was reading the Hisser information on ALLPET roaches and noticed the statement concerning food playing a role in nymph color. I am curious to know what types of food will make them lighter? Or darker?

Fish food with color enhancers will make most roaches develope darker black/ brown pigments, which in turn make thier normal colors darker, or muddy, or amber hued. Fortunately, if that food is removed from thier diet and more fresh veg is added to diet, color is corrected in two or three molts. If animal is adult, then too late to change. In some species this can be a desireable effect, in many others it is not. For a few it does not matter.
