Starter colonies of Roaches

Hello,

I have two kinds of hissers available - Both the Gromphradorhina portentosa and the Gromphradorhina oblongata.

If you want a really impressive Roach species, the oblongata's are huge, black, shiny, impressive bugs when they are adults.

I have plenty of Blaberus discoidales and Nauphoeta cinerea(lobster roaches)

I have a pretty good number of B. boliviensis and B. fusca

I even have some turkistan roaches.

I have a few of the A. tessalata's

I will still have some dubia's left at $35 plus shipping for 250+ mixed sizes after I fill my next big order that is pending .

I have these in Charleston SC - local pick up is ok but I can ship if that is needed.

I have my daughter's wedding coming up but nevertheless, I am trying to decrease my "stock" so you should find my prices pretty reasonable for any amount from just a few up to good sized starter colonies .

If you are interested in any of these , please email me or reply here .

You may email me at troroa-at-gmail.com - substitute @ for the "-at-"

There have been several questions to the above so I will add my responses here for all to see :

I can send you adults of both the oblongatas and the fuscas but I do not recommend it on the oblongatas for two reasons

1. because when they are adults, it's not only hard to tell how old they are (ie. how much longer will they live?) and 2. the large adults are not as hardy when it comes to shipping . I think the sub adults of any size are more hardy when it comes to being shipped.

The fusca's would probably ship a little better as large nymphs than as adults, too, but I have a lot more of those and can include more extras.

My tessalata colony is still pretty small and I would only want to ship some of the half size or smaller nymphs of those for now. The adults, for some reason can't be counted on to survive more than a week or so after shipping in my experience. The small to medium nymphs are $3 each with minimum of $20 - I'll try to include some extra's

The larger nymph oblongata's would be $4 per bug and smaller nymphs would be $1 each. Depending on how many you get I will include some of the newer babies as extras. If you want the largest adults, they would be $8 each but I don't think it's a good idea. They will be frisky when they leave me or they won't be shipped but anyway I don't want to guarantee the adults. However, I will include two newer smaller nymphs with each one. Except for the adults, there will be some overcount. The number depends on how many you end up getting. Minimum order is $20.

I like the G oblongata's over the portentosa's because, not only are they a lot more impressive and "hissy", but they also don't have an odor that the portentosa's have .

The fusca's are a lot less dear in price but they are one of my favorites because they are so satisfying to feed. I like how they waste no time coming very enthusiastically to dinner .

The Fusca's go for $.50 each with a minimum order of $15 .

The shipping will be extra and, depending on temperatures here and there, and your location and how many you end up getting, will be between $15 and $20 . It's unlikely that I can get anything but a very small order into a USPS medium flat rate box. More likely, I would use priority mail or, possibly, a large flat rate box. Some areas are quicker by UPS however.

I hope this gives you some ideas ...

Thanks,
