I advise NOT giving roaches leftover vegetables if they were cooked in oil.

I made roasted redskin potatos and gave the roaches the leftovers.

I would not advice doing this--the olive oil axphysiated several nymphs.

I don't doubt it at all, and probably won't try that now...
