Salmonella...

Is it true cockroaches can carry it?
If you feed them meat or meat products, or sour dairy products, then can. If you catch them wild from a garbage can, they could. If you keep them clean in a colony, it is really not likely. Clean food and clean enclosure equal clean roaches.

 
Huzzah! So really it's not possible in a clean, well maintained colony, correct?

 
There are no documented cases of any human getting salmonella from a cockroach. (Just because it has never happened doesn't mean it's physically impossible, just highly improbable).
