Can isopods give diseases?

Today I was looking at websites that sell isopods to maybe later start a colony, but I saw on a website that they can give parasites or diseases if they eat dead animals or something else, so I would like to know if this is true.(Sorry if I made mistakes my english is not perfect)

I don't think a website claiming that can provide an honest example.
