Hi! Here's the thing... I have two tanks with two isopods species (porc. scaber orange dalmatian and arm. granulatum), so one type of them is white and the other is grey with yellow dots, pretty easy to distinguish. They used to be in one tank together when I first bought them, I'm sorry I didn't know they should be separated. But I found that out and I did separate them. A couple of weeks later I saw a white isopod in armadillidium's tank, it was very small, I didn't have such small isopods when I bought them, so it has just been born. OKAY, I bought two absolutely new bins for them and filled them with absolutely new substrate. And put each isopod there one by one, no old substrate. There's no way there are porcellios in armadillidium's tank and vice versa. BUT I just found a newborn white isopod in the grey ones' tank. It's definitely a newborn. I have no idea what's going on, why do armadilliduims give birth to porcellios?????????? please any help???? they have been separated for over a month now..
What is going on with their breeding?

Perhaps the Armadillidium was just gravid?
Nearby cages can see invaders if the cages allow them to climb out and many people end up with wild species in their cages because they don't properly treat the wood, leave, and moss going in.
