    Hello everyone!

That's a really great pick!! The downside is that you'll never see them unless you dig them up. :( I love love love how they look, but I rarely get to see mine. Still though, congrats!

Damn. They really are cool. But that price still isn't justified to me.

Back into the hobby and more serious aout it - need recommendations

Interestingly since posting this, I've accumulated around twelve more species and I've had the chance to get Therea tons of times but passed it up, probably because I figured they were hard to keep? But now that you suggest them, I'll consider it! So far the species I've had the most joy with is...

Oaks, PA Reptile Super Expo - disappointment for invert lovers

Not long ago I asked about this exact expo in a discord server and got feedback from someone that used to attend it for decades. They said it's like this nowadays because of, surprise surprise, corruption and incompetence in the host organization. But they gave hope that it will likely turn...

    That Roach Girl

Bought a starter colony of A. tesselata from her through discord and she was kind enough to ensure I received large nymphs! Price was standard for the species and she shipped 'em fast and was communicative. I bought 'em from her because she shared a photo of two of her adults having wildly...

    Photography

Idk how you all do it. Very few times am I able to get a 'nice' shot of one of my specimens. I want to know how you guys go about photographing your bugs. I use my iphone14 plus which you'd think would be good enough, but most of the work is in the lighting, and unfortunately I can never get a...

Question about Magnificent Emerald Cockroach availability in the US

It is a pretty massive difference. It could also be possible that there are not as many collectors over in the UK and therefore there's less demand. I also wish to have them, just to add to my collection. Eventually they'll go down in price here when more people get them in their collections.

Question about Magnificent Emerald Cockroach availability in the US

Usually regional price differences are due to availability. There may be an abundance of them available over in the UK, whereas over here they may be more rare to come by.

That's so frustrating. Keeps in humidity good but exacerbates the process of molding. :/ I've been struggling to figure out how to hold air humidity in my enclosures. Like you, I mainly use stainless metal mesh, but even when poking small holes, the air humidity escapes pretty quickly. The only...

I don't know *exactly* what material it is because I got it with an enclosure I bought off of someone on FB marketplace. I assume it's a polyester mix of some sort. I'm not sure what material Kyle uses for his critter keepers and I've been wanting to know. Like Bhjjr said, freezing some...

For hissers I know mid-high ventilation is fine. If you want to poke holes, don't make them larger than 2 mm, unless you plan on covering them with mesh, which I highly recommend you do because they climb. Could be metal mesh, polyester mesh, nylon mesh, etc. Here's an example. This is my G...

What species are you keeping? Hole size/amount of holes depends. Some species need higher ventilation than others, and some have smaller nymphs than others.

I ASKED WHAT SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER HE USED AND HE SAID RAW SUGAR AND HE WASN'T LYING THAT SHIT WORKS MIRACLES. 10/10 DO RECOMMEND. Oh and I won some roaches from him in an auction and they were all good would buy again 💃

I need everyone's experience to help me create the best setup for this ooth. Right now i have it buried in the damp soil Kyle sent me with a heat emitter above (see image below). Last temp/humidity reading was 79% air humidity and 85 degree air temp. With the fluctuating temperatures in New...

    Rochaina bilunata Ootheca

Good luck!! I use individual heat lamps to keep my roaches warm because I like to have individual control over each enclosure's temperature, and because the only room I have for my roaches is my own bedroom and I can't sleep in 80 degree heat 😂 I will say though, without a thermostat for each...

    Hello everyone!

Welcome! Keeping climbers may seem intimidating but after you have one you realize it's not so bad (so long as they don't run like darts 😂)
