    Random observation

So I am intrigued. I have noticed while isopod hunting, that you can find multiple species under the same rock, wood etc. Last night while checking my termite locations, I lifted up a piece of 1x2 and found 1 A. vulgare, 1 A. nasatum and 1 P. scaber. Which I guess makes since considering they...

    Wilted kale?

I have collected some isopods from back yard here in Kentucky. I assume they are from the Armadillidium genus. Is wilted kale an good food source? I throw away a lot of it from my bearded dragons tank.

    Dealing with tiny nymphs

Isopods would be good because I could just allow them to "free range" in the vivarium. Maybe my answer is not one stable feeder but multiple? Below is a shot of my vivarium. It has been going for about a month. It is an African Savannah set up. Not all the plants are African though. Throughout...

    Dealing with tiny nymphs

So how do you guys go about collecting tiny nymphs from your bins, such as little Kenyans? I am still thinking about getting them to use as feeders for my rubber frogs.

    Bugarium ideas

So I picked up this nice 3 gallon "bugarium" from PetSmart today. I want to a roach species that produces small/tiny non climbing nymphs at least. So help think through some ideas. Paratemnopteryx coulianna is at the top of my list. I would expect the adults to hang out on the bark and fake...

Best roach nymphs to mimic ants?

So I just got 6 Phrynomantis microps "West African Rubber Frogs". These frogs eat mostly ants in the wild. I currently have them a selection of very young nymph dubia and pantanal for them in the feed dish. They have eaten a few of the smallest ones. So I am looking for a suggestion of a roach...

Looking for the perfect feeder dish

So I have two species of frogs that are not bold feeders. I feed them dubia and eublaberus serranus nymphs. Currently I am just using shallow plastic gladware. I would like to find something more natural looking to use in my vivarium. Deep enough to keep the roaches in yet shallow enough to let...
