    Perisphaerinae Revision Song

Yeah... I wrote a song lol! 😛 It's a comedic song about the Perisphaerinae revision that came out this year, directed towards people who still use the old names, (even when many of them have been informed of the changes).  Watch it here Just to be clear, I'm not actually trying to insult or...

    Goodbye for now...

Hey guys, it's been a little while since I posted here, I have some somber news to share.  I have been dealing with some severe anxiety and depression issues for the past few months, and I kinda broke down a couple weeks ago. This hobby has unfortunately been causing me a lot more stress than...

In case anyone was wondering, Corydidarum and Trichoblatta are now considered synonyms of Pseudoglomeris. Additionally, Corydidarum (Trichoblatta) pygmaea is now Perisphaerus pygmaeus. You can get the full article here.

Received 6 of these in a trade with Alan Grosse, (who's got an awesome new website), man are they beautiful! :D  Hopefully they'll do well for me, I know they aren't the easiest of the Spanish isopods for sure!

    Good plant based diet?

So, I am vegan, have been my whole life, we have a cat, and since we already buy cat food for her, I used that as an excuse to buy more of it for my bugs. I really don't like it though, and want to switch my roaches to a plant based diet. The fruits and veggies I got covered, I just need a...

    Porcellio silvestrii

Just got some of these really cool Spanish isopods, they are easier to breed but have almost the same care requirements as the rarer Spanish species like P.bolivari and P.magnificus, hope they do well for me! :)  They have a grey and and and orange morph, unfortunately the coloration seems to...

Corydidarum magnifica has entered the European hobby!

Looks like C.magnifica has entered the european hobby, one person in Germany is offering them for sale and will be offering them at an insect fair in Frankfurt apparently. :) Hopefully this means it'll only be a matter of time before they'll enter the US hobby...

    Polyphaga aegyptiaca ootheca not hatching...

It's been almost a year since my P.aegyptiaca females starting laying ootheca, and none have hatched. Now I started with two males, the first one escaped pretty quickly after maturing, and was only with them for a couple of weeks as an adult, maybe less, so it's very possible these ootheca may...

    Oniscus asellus "Mardi Gras Dalmatian"

So some of you may know that my population of Cylisticus convexus "Pied" died out unfortunately, due to under-watering. However, a new morph has shown up in one of my other species's enclosure, and it is equally exciting to me! Presenting, Oniscus asellus "Dalmatian": I have found three...

    Byrsotria fumigata prolapse

It looks pretty bad, is there anything I can do to help her out? Will she die from this? I had a female Gromphadorhina that had a smaller prolapse, it dried up and fell of after a couple of weeks and she is doing well, will the same happen with this female?

    How to reduce smell.....

My Rhabdoblatta formosana cage has been stinking up my room lately, and my family members are starting to complain... what can I do to reduce the smell? I'm pretty sure it's coming from the dead bodies in the cage, of which there are a lot of, (old adults, not nymphs or anything). I already...

    Wizentrop

Purchased a sexed pair of Panchlora sp. "White" from Gil, the communication was great, the roaches arrived on time, and the packaging was excellent. All of the roaches arrived alive and healthy, and he sent a freebie as well! I would definitely do business with Gil again, A+! :D

    Oniscus asellus "Orange"

A few of these have been popping up in my Oniscus colony, funny how lots of interesting color morphs have been showing up in colonies I've had for years! They are a dull orange right now, but hopefully after some selective breeding and culling I can create a bright orange morph! Here are some...
