2012 Roach Calendar Contest

Hi Peter,

I'm just trying to figure out the size restrictions and how to comply with them before I submit any photos. Maybe that is what other people are trying to figure out also. I know we have a lot of great photographers on here that have some awesome photos!

I am pretty excited for this! Orin posted a pretty good shot of what I was planning on posting. I don't have anything professional either so I suppose I am feeling a little discouraged x)

I'll have to take some new pictures for this contest :)

Nick

Yeah, post some new ones or go ahead and take a photo of the same species as a breeding pair, or a colony shot, a different background, etc. etc.

Really nice to see a turnout of members for the calendar, today! Even if somebody has no intention of buying a calendar (they will be available for sale at cost of production only), it's still fun to put something together as a community.

I am so thrilled, really! Where do we turn them in? I am determined to make my boring little babies look as nice as possible this weekend.

I'm sorry! I didn't get to post in time :( I have at least one photo I can submit if you guys want me to! Just let me know!

It got super hectic at work!!!

Email it to me, please

We were a few photos short, but we had a few people contribute at the last minute. It's all just for fun, so send it along.

Thanks!

It almost seems like more people have sent in contributions since the contest "closed" than when it was open. So, I'm going to open the calendar submission thread back up for a day or two. Please, everyone who emailed me photos, create posts at the calendar thread link below with titles and species names of your photos and I'll drop the photos in for you (or feel free to post the photos yourselves, if you're able to).

This was the image I was going to use, titled "Seeing Red" of my male Blaptica Dubia. Tell me this is not one cool looking dubia!
