A couple of my questions.

Some of my friends are now becoming interested in cockroaches. I just have a few questions that they have asked me that I can't really answer.

First, I have an idea of why, but why are they white after they molt, and how long does it take for, say, hissers to regain full color?

Also, in a book one of my friends read that Cockroaches have two brains. True?

Cockroaches have one brain (supraesophageal ganglion).

It takes a few hours for the color to return after the molt and involves a chemical tanning process. They aren't always white, Panchlora adults molt out light blue.
