Automatic humidity maintenance

Hello! Who uses automatic humidity maintenance in the container ? What do you use ? In which part of the container should I put the hygrometer ?

 
Does no one maintain humidity automatically ? And how then ? Please share it ? At least where is the hygrometer installed ?

I just mist my roaches by hand with a cheap spray bottle, every few days when the enclosure starts drying out. If the substrate is especially dry I'll just pour water on it sometimes.

 
Yeah, I can't say I'm a huge expert, but for everything I've kept, I've provided humidity in the same way as @Hisserdude. I've had few problems.

There may be delicate species that I haven't run into, but for hardy, common pet species, I don't think you have to stress too much.
