Second Instar
There seem to be several localities for Blaberus giganteus, eg. Trinidad, Costa Rica. Does anyone know what the differences (size, colour etc) between these localities are?

There may be some variations in the wild but in captivity I've only seen the normal ones that have been in captivity since sometime before the early 1970s and a similar looking stock from Trinidad. I don't imagine anyone knows where the normal ones first came from but the Trinidad ones I saw at BugWorld Cinci Zoo. They looked a little narrower and the color was slightly different (not different enough to put into words nor different enough to look more like any other commonly kept Blaberus).
