i got 4 bugs in the mail from him. one was an entirely different species than the one it was supposed to be. (cockroach instead of beetle) :huh:

the red head roach i got died within 24 hours :( . the rest were fine

 
So tell him you got a roach instead of the beetle and had a DOA, he will probably fix it but if its long past when you received your package he probably wont, I don't see the point of this post. When things like this happen you contact the seller ASAP and inform them.

I agree with J&J.. Contact Peter.. he has be nothing but awesome with me, I have bought a lot of different roaches and beetles from him. He is a professional and I am sure, like was said, if it is not way after the time of getting the delivery, he will fix it for you. Always contact the seller first before making a statement like that on a forum. Everyone makes mistakes.

 
as soon as i found out it died (the next day) i contacted him and he did nothing to fix it

The feedback area isn't for discussions, ONLY feedback on a specific first-person transaction. Vendors have the opportunity to respond and the discussion is closed, other people and the original poster may not respond. Only a new transaction review could be submitted. These are standard feedback rules. The only problem with the original poster is he didn't write positive, negative, or neutral. One specimen dying the day after often doesn't mean the overall transaction wasn't positive or neutral.

Yes, it seems I did neglect to put in a darkling beetle for you. That was a mistake. You did, I believe, receive a container that was marked "darkling beetle", but it had a free roach that I'd pulled for you earlier, instead.

Let's back up a bit.

You posted your feedback on June 1st. In the 21 days preceding your post, I sent you exactly 20 emails (you sent me many more but I consolidate when possible), answering your questions and entertaining your "special order" requests that changed, rather frustratingly I might add, from day to day. In the end, you purchased two roaches. Thank you again for the business!

I sent you the G. oblongonota and the red head O. deusta, per your order. I don't usually sell singles of G. oblongonota but entertained your request to do so. When I realized that I did not have a large nymph to sell you at the discounted rate, I wrote back and offered the medium nymph and a free question mark roach. You accepted.

When I shipped, I also included a second O. deusta, but may or may not have labeled that there was a second one (I often label it as 1+1 to indicate an extra, but not always). I'm not sure how you could have missed the second roach in the deusta cup since the cup is only about 2 inches across. That, sir, was a freebie. It was kind of you to mention via email that you scoured your trash looking for it, though that was maybe a day or two later and after you wrote and told me that your O. deusta had died (not DOA, but afterwards).

Several days after you placed the order, but before I shipped, you asked about darkling beetles. Out of kindness, and because I assume you are a kid, I offered to include one for free. You happily accepted. Yes, folks, that's right...he's complaining about a free beetle. I think what happened here is that I had labeled a container with yet another freebie that I'd already pulled for him (E. capucina that I had also pulled for him, because it is my favorite species) as a darkling, meaning to trade it out before I actually shipped a few days later. I later forgot that I'd not switched the contents...I believe.

So, I'm not entirely sure what I actually shipped to you at this point. I know that your order was for one G. oblongonota and one O. deusta. You got both of those, plus a free question mark, a free red hed roach and possibly a free E. capucina as well, instead of the darkling.

Regardless, I would hope that you would be a little bit more forgiving to the next dealer that answers 20 emails so kindly and more than doubles your already "special request" order with freebies.

No hard feelings, but there will be no replacements for your dead freebie, the roach you threw in the trash or the free beetle that was actually a roach. You still came out well ahead since you ordered 2, received 5 (but only noticed 4).

:lol: update: freebies came in perfect condition came in perfect condition same with substrate and small little containers and water gel (had an overcount on the small little containers that i decided to use for transporting my roaches to vacations) also got to update my signature with a few new species :D

bought 3 got +1 domino roaches from bugsincyberspace they all came aliv i was worried though since the mailman dropped them on the floor in front of me saying he had to go or somehting. but nonetheless they were alive and well. Thank you for the extra one peter . Later i dumped them into the cage and in a minute i could not find them sifting through the subtrate and such so er hopefully i see them whenever they are adults and im wondering how they are gonna feed but we shall see A+++ review

 
got 6 madacasgar hissers (g portentosa) and 3 giant cave roaches. they all came in happy and running around. they were very fast too. the packaging was ecellent with a thick layer of paper then a thick layer of newspaper and then a box filled with even more newspaper! positive positive positive!!!!!!

I purchased some panchlora sp., E.capucina, and some mantis from peter last week and i couldnt be happier with the transaction.

The packaging was great the bugs healthy and his customer service was A+.

POSITIVE! I ordered from Bugs in Cyberspace in February. Peter is a stand up guy who is really good about answering emails quickly, answering questions thoroughly, and made me feel like I wasn't bombarding him with questions. My Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches arrived well packaged, fat and healthy, and quickly set upon eating the dog food I offered them. Since then they've also enjoyed various other foods. I really like the colors and markings they have. I read that color can change in nymphs depending on the diet. I'm not sure if that's fact or not, but I do think mine are very nice looking. Thanks Peter! I plan on ordering again from you soon!

As the transaction has always been good, I can't say a single critical thing about Clausens operation.

Bugs arrive healthily active, sometimes with an extra critter or more!

If you love buying insects, buy from him.

 
Peter and myself worked out a trade for some of my N.Rhombifola roaches and his Blue death feigning beetles.

I had contacted Peter about the trade everything was very easy from start to finish.

everything came the next day packaged very well,all alive,and one of the coolest species we now have

I bought 2 cockroach species, 4 mantis, 2 beetle species, 7 millipedes...! Received more then what I paid for... great service, I will buy more of everything.. my mantis eat great and the are so beautiful.
