Deropeltis erythrocephala

I've just finished reading "Allpet Roaches" cover to cover. Okay, it was the tenth time... Does anyone have Deropeltis erythrocephala in culture? I found info on the D. paulinoi, but none on this one. Are they as noxious as the paulinoi? In other words, do they stink, taste bad and stain your fingers?

Hi

I don't know anything about this genus (I suppose that both species are similar), but here you can find them in culture: www.schaben-spinnen.de/Content/shop.php?cat=11&start=15

They don't produce noticeable quinones but it doesn't matter since that species disappeared from US culture quite a few years ago. It's a lot bigger than D. paulinoi.

Bummer. I was looking forward to give it a try. Maybe I'll just have to go back to Africa and find some.

DoubleD's claims to have these guys (And Deropeltis sp. "Black") in culture and said they should have sell able amounts by this spring.

I have bought some in the UK. Are they any good as feeders for reed frogs and geckos?
