The first time i delt with them the roaches arrived dead, but to our agreement he sent 2 more packages as replacments.

Totaling 750 dubia but there was supposed to be 1000, i decided to let it slide.

The second time was a huge order for me since i was just starting with rare roaches.

I sent them $50 for stick insects and $200 for roaches (i let him choose in order to get them most amount of species).

Then i also sent another $100 for the garentee of live arrival (remembering last time i thought it would be a good investment).

He sent 2 packages one after the other, totalling in about 8 species of roaches and the one species of stick insects.

But they were mostly dead.

One stick insect lived to lay one egg, that turned out to be infertile.

I emailed them and they kept saying they would send a package out in a week or so, this whent on for about 4 months.

Debbie then sent me a email saying there would be no more packages and said the only reason dexter did the deal was because he was drugged since he broke his leg and he was short on cash because of the medical costs.

I sent a angry email saying i wanted my money back.

Debbie then said no money and there was no garentee.

I sent her a copy of the invoice from paypal explaining what dexter said the breakdown of what the money was but she didnt care.

I for one have had two dealings with them. Both I will spare the details from a public post, as neither one could be reported as a good experience.

I believe that Dexter has the capacity to bring great and wonderful things to the bug hobby. However it seems in my opinion that there is some degree of poor decision making on thier part which may or may not indicate a lack of responsibility and organization. It is this that tells me not to order from them again, regardless of what they post on thier website which may or may not exist in thier possession.

If you need to research them prior to buying and want details of my experiences, then please email me only. Otherwise I definately do not recommend them to buy from.

I've made several purchases from them before with no problems. Everything arrived in good condition and well packed. I'm sorry you both had such bad experiences :(

 
I can't even beileve you wrote that why don't you tell them about how you tried to get over on Dexter when he was dooped out on pain pills when he had to broke heals. We have sent you several hundred dollars worth of producted to have you say time and time again you weren't happy. So even though you tried getting over on him while he couldn't think striaght me being 5 months pregnant at the time,

We tried nothing more to make you happy. We got screwed tring to make you happy. See how many people will ship to Canada now!!! Next time tell the whole story......

And Matt I have apologized time and time again about the wait on your order... We told you from the being that there would be a wait. And I always gave you heads up about the status of your order.

We couldn't do anything else, We had to wait as well as you did. That is what happened when you are doing international import. So once again sorry. But we even refund you the shipping cost since you had to wait so long. We try are best to always make our customer's happy. But you were just always demanding stuff. If you were unhappy in any way why post the nice post on Arachno board and now post something bad. We have been in business over 4 years so I know we can't make everyone happy and that some people just can't be happy or satisfied. But we have Hundreds have happy customer and we will always do our best to make our customers happy.

My post seems to pretty cleanly outline *my personal opinion* (not a political review) without going into details, slamming anyone, or otherwise badmouthing. Simply, this is my opinion Debbie, and I was not referring to the long wait on the one order. I was referring to other orders where additional items were promised and not sent, or sending me the wrong bug from another dealer from whom I had bought already. If you don't have something, just say you are out of stock and offer an alternative or refund of money. Either is better than something a customer does not want at all. This hobby is still a small world and word gets around regardless. :blink:

We did replace the order three times and you weren't happy. So like I said with all the stick bugs and roaches that we shipped once, twice, three times......It was several hundred dollars. Plus shipping that we paid all three times. That alone is $150.00 shipping to Canada.

But we can't make everyone happy. But we know that we have hundreds of customer who will always come back to us. Thanks for everything :)

We hold no hard feelings we just always wish we could make everyone happy.

Matt I am sorry that the free stuff we offered you weren't in there. But we had paying customers so when packaging all our really orders we must have forgotten your FREE stuff.

And I am not sure the other thing you are talking about but sorry for that to. But I just don't like when please say mean things like how they aren't going to order from us even when a week before that statement we were talking about another sell. Weren't we? So that just doesn't seem right. But I am truly sorry about everything you were a pleasure doing business with. You were always so understanding and kind. I am sorry and wish we could fix what ever bad has happened. I would love to change your feelings about our company. Sorry Matt

Look-

Public forums are not the appropriate place to air personal feelings about a dealer review. This section is for dealer reviews. If the dealer believes the review is wrong, they should contact the person making the review and work something out nicely by email, PM, or phone. There is always a solution to every issue.

Debbie- it's only a review. You seem to have a portion of my business with you in the past confused with someone else. If you want people to respect your business, I would suggest not posting responses. Remember that you are talking to all the people on the forum and not one individual.

I have dealt with DD twice and sadly no success at all all roaches arrived dead also. but into our agreement they have given me 50%off on the 2nd package and yet they arrived dead. IMO there are some unavoidable circumstance that we might encounter along. I just want to point out that they try to do something to compensate but it just does not work so I guess there is an option to try another source. I am not putting fuel in the fire I guess DDs situation is uniform they always "tend" to send dead stuff that we do not know why they arrive dead I know they are a legitimate source but receiving dead stuff will make you think twice when ordering from them. This threads really helped me a lot I was suppose to order from them again and I tried to communicate to them on how this 3rd order be done after reading this I have to give myself some insurance of live arrival since I guess I have proven myself as a good customer I understand that they cannot do some things which is beyod with their principle and I have decided not to order anymore. peace to all.

 
I would like to say to everyone out there that we always try our best to satisfy our customer's but some people are never happy no matter what you do. But I want you all to know that will not change the way we try to help and satisfy everyone who orders from us.

And to so people on this board as you can tell I will not be subdued to treats. I do not like knowing that people are going to treating you to post a bad ad about us if we don't do what they would like. Vixvy please don't threaten me again. I will not ship an order to the Philippine's for free I am sorry but I can not do that. And I understand that might disappoint you but don't use this board to try and get what you want.

Just because two people post bad things you think I'll be afraid of one more and do what you want. NO!!!!

Like I said we have been in business almost 5 years. We have had thousands of customer's and we may not make everyone happy, But we do please most.

No No....do not get me wrong its not that. I was just sharing what I have experienced and for a fact that I did not mention that I will get it for free its just that I want to see if it gets alive here. whether its dead or alive I will still pay please check if I have mentioned anything about free. I am not using this boards to add insult to the mishaps of others. Peace DD this is very clear that I am not going against you just because you were not able to grant my request.

I have to say that despite my negative reviews before, I know stuff happens and I am, after all, a bug-junkie; so I ordered from DD's again.

My order was shipped immediately, extremely well packed, arrived promptly in excellent condition, and communication with them had no delays (quick replies by email). The reviews for them are hit and miss, but in this case it is a very positive experience. I will probably buy from them again sometime...

Everything was well-packed and shipped to my specifications; I got an over-count on one order also and I intend to order from them again in the near future. :)

 
I ordered some stuff from them last week. They shipped when they said they would and also included some food for the trip as well. Thanks Double D's.

 
Ive ordered 3 times and I have been pleased every time. The first time I ordered some katydids, which all died, BUT that was my fault, third order was some milkweed bugs as feeders, and my most recent order (my first roach order) arrived well packed with a generous overcount, they have great customer service and I plan to order again in the future. I know this post is old but I felt like posting my experiences.
