Hello, this is Mark. I have two separate Dwarf Hisser (Elliptorhina chopardi) cultures from two different breeders. With one culture, all of the adults have an all black pronotum. The other culture has adults with rusty-orange markings along the anterior borders of the pronotum. Otherwise they appear about the same. I have searched on-line and found photos of both types but never see them together in a single culture. I am assuming the ones with the "all black" pronotums are the holotype. Any ideas if the adults showing the rusty-orange markings are simply a color variation that randomly pops up in culture or could they possibly be a separate subspecies that have been maintained separately?
Thanks, Mark
