My name is Fredrik Haljesgard and I am 35 years old.
I live in Sala (a small town in
Sweden), together with my partner and our two wonderful kids.
My interest for arthropods started with a pet tarantula, a Grammostola rosea, which I bought in a local pet-shop.
Quite soon one tarantula became several tarantulas and I quickly moved on to keeping various species of millipedes, snails, beetles, reptiles, you name it.
I have had a small business running, called HaljesZoo, supplying rare
invertebrates to zoological gardens, pet-shops and individuals.
But the business is resting at the moment, due to illness.
I have been sick-listed for 7 years now and I'm finally making some progress.
I still keep and breed arthropods today, but only on a hobby basis.
/Fredrik
