First Instar
I recently collected some termites from a wild area near my home I assume they are Reticulitermes hesperus but am unsure. (I will post some images for potential ID.) What is the genral care of termites like? Are they even worth keeping and do they require a queen to keep the colony going? From what I've read they perfer high humidity and plenty of organic material. (They of course will be under lock and key as I perfer my house with no structural degradation.)
