I am attempting to raise Melanoplus sp. from the egg, and I was wondering what speed they would molt. They have a pretty high humidity, loads of food (changed regularly) and are at room temp. How many days does it take?

At the low 70s each molt/instar takes about about twenty days.
 
Ooh, this little dude still has a dozen days or so :( . I have yet for them to make it far past a fortnight, if past. He's gorging himself on lettuce and carrot though. Too small for photos. :lol:

 
I think so, it's dark green (he still gets light green if I can't find dark) and sometimes has those little ripples on the edges. He's been getting salad lettuce a lot lately, my mom hasn't picked up more dark green yet. Romaine is better for bugs, right?
