I was watching a female extend her ootheca the other night and got to wondering... Do they rotate the ootheca at a certain time during gestation? Is there any way to tell how long after this event she will give birth?

I can't be sure, but I don't think there is any solid timeline. I have seen them do it at every stage from teeny oothecae to huge ones.

lovelyroachloady I think your female is on the right track. As for me, one of my females aborted her ootheca a month ago and up to now I still don't see any babies from the others.

Thanks for your input! Makoygaara- I've had my hissers for 9 months now. I have found several aborted ootheca over the last few months, and I'm hoping that the changes I've made with their enclosure keep them on the right track herelovelyroachloady I think your female is on the right track. As for me, one of my females aborted her ootheca a month ago and up to now I still don't see any babies from the others.
Ya'll will be the first to know when I finally have some babies!
