how many lateralis? help pls!

Hi, I have a 52 ltr tub what size colony could I put in here roughly so theres not too much over crowding. Any help is much appreciated.

 
I do not know. These roaches make so many more in just one generation that I move handfuls of the babies in new containers or clean out containers each time I get babies.

 
It takes several months for them to grow to adult. Did your S. lateralis become adult three months ago and they have not laid eggs or have they laid eggs three months ago?

 
I see adults in there males are lighter with wings and females are dark brown and sometimes red. They have not laid any egg cases at all

 
Yea definitely use a substrate. Even though they don't burrow I noticed a huge difference when I added a coco fiber substrate. I didn't even keep it moist most of the time and I had tons of eggcases.

What are you feeding them?

 
Just put in 4 egg crates cut to size and your good to go. Just make sure you feed off one crateful of lats every 2 months or you'll get overrun by roaches :D

 
I already did everything you guys suggested that I should do. Substrate, egg crates, heat, humidity, everything! Its alright I gave them to an old teacher of mine. Maybe if she breeds them she won't ever have to but crickets again! Lol I don't think she ever has to many ways, I practically give her some for at least 2-3 weeks
