Is this oak OK?

I found this oak tree, and I was wondering if its OK to use. Its called Quercus virginiana. Heres a photo. My stick insects can eat oak too, so Im hoping this one would work.

As far as I know all oaks are great.

 
Thats good to hear, thanks! How would I dry the leaves out? I dont really want to pick the ones of the ground.

If you are feeding them to roaches you want to get the ones that have started to decompose because they don't do well with fresh leaves (as a food source).
