I do behavioral research with cockroaches. I've had some more research opportunities lately than I expected, so I am in need of more roaches. We collect healthy adult roaches from the main colony, train them to do things like learn to associate an odor with food. Once trained, the roaches go to live in a retirement colony and cannot participate in experiments again. Offspring from the retirement colony are placed back in the main colony and may eventually be trained as well. We have plenty of space, so we don't have to euthanize any roaches. Unfortunately, I'm just running a little low on adults right now. I would like to purchase some to boost my current numbers, and help establish more breeding colonies for summer research. In my experience, orange heads can be a little sensitive to summer shipping heat, so I am trying to get some soon. I am interested in around 150 individuals, from a single breeder, or spread across multiple breeders if needed. Please let me know if you are interested and we can discuss things further. Since this is an unusual arrangement, I would be willing to pay more than standard orange head cockroach prices. Thanks.
