I'd say "thanks" but I didn't make her with my chemistry set! Lol. She really is a nice bug. Loves to keep my dubia numbers "in check"!

I got 3 carolinas today and they all ate except one... she seems very dodgy and hasnt eaten anything... the other 2 ate instantly! yes she is a BEAUTIFUL little one

Is she an adult female? She looks think in the rear like she's going to make an ooth!

I'm hoping! She has six abdomen segments and she is chunky, livin' large on dubia nymphs

did you find her in MN? I have looked everywhere possible and have not even found a chinese mantis... very disappointing

No. She was caught in southern Illinois. She was laying her ootheca when went to get her and put her in her feeding enclosure, I hope I didn't mess it up!

I have found walking sticks here (in north branch) but I've never seen a mantid here

Huh I havent found either of them here in Hastings.... We are supposed to have both in Minnesota... Maybe we are looking in the wrong areas

Great looking Carolina mantid! She'll likely give you an ootheca in captivity if you give her a nice spot to lay it.
