I've raises those, what's amazing is hours before it's ready to hatch the inside is see through so you see black and orange! If you get up early morning at sunrise on that day you might be able to get a photo as they hatch early morning.
Those chysalises are beautiful. Pictures don't do them justice- I reared some this summer, and they had gold flecks on the chrysalis. It was almost unreal.
It emerged yesterday and we released it this morning. It didn't stay around too long; took only a few minutes to sun itself before taking off. It's got a long journey ahead of it.
