Nauphoeta cinerea sexing

Could someone please tell me how to tell the difference between adult male and female N. cinerea?

Thank you for your help.

Males have longer wings which will extend past the end of the abdomen, Females wings stop short, so you will see the abdomen sticking out.

I think they can also be sexed by the last abdomen section the underside, but I don't keep them anymore to double check that for sure.

Best bet is to flip them over. Females have one big last abdominal segment; males have two. If you really want to be sure, just feed off only small adults. Those are males 99% of the time.

Thank you both for your responses.

I knew about the sexing by flipping them over and looking at the abdomen segments but that is kinda hard to do with this species if you are trying to get a bunch out. I just thought there might be a quicker easier way and now I know.

Thanks again.
