Nymphs dying normal?

Every week or so, I would find a dead nymph, usually very soft to touch but completely darken, so I am not sure whether they were just molted or not. From my experience rearing other animals, very small things (especially very young) tend to die off randomly, there is nothing you can do about it. Just want to confirm that this is also normal with roaches.

What kind of specie? Nymph roaches in general?

I have mostly hissers, but I am referring to very young nymphs in general.
